Engagement Letter for Tax Preparation Services I am pleased to confirm the terms of our engagement to provide tax preparation services for the 2023 tax year to you. This letter outlines the scope of our services, responsibilities, and the terms of our agreement. Scope of Services: I will prepare your federal and state income tax returns for the 2023 tax year based on the information provided by you. This includes filing status determination, income reporting, deduction analysis, tax planning. Responsibilities: You agree to provide all necessary documents and information required for the accurate preparation of your tax returns. It is your responsibility to review the completed returns for accuracy and completeness before submission. You are responsible for any penalties, interest, or additional taxes resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided. Fees: The basic fee for tax preparation services is $225.00. Payment is due upon completion of the services. Additional fees may apply for additional services or complexities that arise during the preparation process. Any additional fees will be discussed and agreed upon in advance. Confidentiality: I will maintain the confidentiality of all information provided by you during the engagement. Information may be disclosed to third parties only to the extent necessary for the preparation and filing of your tax returns, as required by law. Terms of Engagement: This engagement is effective for the 2023 tax year only and does not extend to subsequent years unless expressly agreed upon in writing.
